Job Summary
The Van Driver operates a passenger van safely and efficiently. Follows specific regularly scheduled routes and responds to requests from management for unscheduled pick-ups or drop-offs.
Primary Duties
Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions. These duties and responsibilities will be rated on the Annual Performance Review.
Responsible for pick-up and drop-off of all passengers in a safe and timely manner to worksite, program, or customer address according to the assigned schedule and designated routes.
Perform daily inspection of vehicle to include, but not be limited to ensuring that the tires are in good condition, oil and water are at appropriate levels, the exterior of the van has not been damaged, etc.; and provide written documentation to supervisor of needed service or repairs.
Report weekly paperwork of vehicle use inspection logs, van driver report, vehicle wipe down log, and fuel usage log.
Ensure that employee/route listing, directions and map are in the van and writer logs are current with phone numbers and emergency contact numbers
Maintain cleanliness of interior and exterior of vehicle.
Additional Responsibilities
Complete accurate incident, accident, and seizure reports as needed.
Ensure that proper number of flares/safety triangles, first aid kits, jacks, flashlights, etc are in the van and in proper working order.
Perform other responsibilities as assigned.
Qualifications: Education, Experience, and Certification(s)
High school diploma or General Educational Development (GED) preferred.
Three years' experience driving a passenger vehicle preferred.
Per contract, valid driver's license and good motor vehicle record (MVR) required.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
Ability to effectively communicate to riders and users by phone.
Ability to work with people internally and externally at all levels of an organization.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Excellent customer skills and time management abilities
Proficient with Google Maps or GPS with basic computer skills.

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand; reach with hands and arms; and talk or hear. The employee is occasionally required to walk and sit. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus.
Work Environment
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is occasionally exposed to outside weather conditions. The noise level in the work environment is usually quiet to moderate.
