Van Driver Job Summary
Your main responsibility will be to ensure the safe and comfortable transportation of our residents. As a Van Driver, you'll contribute to the well-being of our community members by providing reliable transportation for various activities and appointments. Will assist residents with special needs such as walkers or wheelchairs and operate bus to accommodate special needs of residents.
Responsibilities:
  • Safely transport residents to and from appointments, outings, and community events.
  • Assist the Director of Social Programming in implementing a social program created specifically for independent residents and assisted living.
  • Ensure the comfort and well-being of passengers during transit.
  • Assist residents with boarding and exiting the van safely.
  • Maintain the cleanliness and safety of the van, conducting routine inspections.
  • Assist in community programs and activities as needed.
  • Communicate effectively with residents, staff, and community members.
  • Report any issues or incidents promptly.
  • Uphold a friendly and helpful demeanor to create a positive experience for residents.
Qualifications:
  • Valid driver's license with a clean driving record.
  • Ability to operate a passenger van safely and responsibly.
  • Good communication skills and the ability to interact positively with seniors.
  • Respectful and patient attitude towards residents.
  • Physical ability to assist residents with boarding and exiting the van.
