Job summary

South Shore Stars is seeking a substitute van driver to safely transport children and youth to and from Stars programs in the Weymouth area. The role is as-needed, with shifts typically two hours in the morning and/or afternoon, and may require short notice availability.

Candidate must hold a current 7D Driving License, pass the MA EEC background check, and complete CPR/First Aid and online EEC training. Responsibilities include maintaining logs and coordinating with the Center Director.

Qualifications

• Must have current 7D Driving License.
• Must be deemed suitable by MA Department of Early Education Care Background Record Check process.
• Complete and maintain CPR and First Aid certification.
• Complete all required Early Education Care on-line training.
• Maintain vehicle attendance with center director/site coordinator.
• Daily vehicle incident log-reporting to center director/site coordinator.
• Complete Stars’ Transportation Agreement.

VAN DRIVER 7D - SUBSTITUTE

The Stars’ agency substitute van driver is responsible for the safe transportation of Stars children and youth, on a casual as-needed basis. Transportation is provided to and from homes to Stars’ programs via Stars vehicles.

Responsibilities

• Safely transport children and youth to pre-designated drop-off.
• Maintain 7D license and annual vehicle inspections as directed by Center Director/site coordinator.
• Comply with all Massachusetts RMV and DEEC Regulations.
• Comply with all South Shore Stars confidentiality policies/procedures.

Hours/Route

• This is an as-needed position, substituting for Stars’ regular drivers. As such, you would potentially be needed on short notice. The routes could be in the morning or afternoon in the Weymouth/Quincy area.
