Job summary

• Secure passengers' wheelchairs to restraining devices to stabilize during transport.
• Always practice safe driving techniques and follow facility policies.
• Report unsafe conditions to the Administrator and follow up as needed.

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Van Driver to join our team at New Vanderbilt Rehabilitation & Care Center. As a key member of our team, you will provide exceptional service to our residents and their loved ones, ensuring their safety, comfort, and overall well-being.

Job Summary

The Van Driver is responsible for safely transporting residents to and from appointments, medical visits, and other activities. The Van Driver is also responsible for safely transporting family members who require transportation to visit our residents.

Qualifications

• A valid CDL Class C driver's license with passenger endorsement.

• Good communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work with a variety of disabilities and personalities.

Responsibilities

• Drive the vehicle from the facility to social events, appointments, and other various destinations according to the assigned schedule.
• Assist residents into and out of the vehicle in a safe manner.
• Secure passengers' wheelchairs to restraining devices to stabilize wheelchairs during transportation.
• Always practice safe driving techniques.
• Report on potentially unsafe conditions to the Administrator.
