Westmoreland County Blind Association in Greensburg, PA is seeking a responsible driver to transport individuals with multiple disabilities to and from work. This role requires operating an agency van that accommodates wheelchairs and providing assistance while boarding and exiting.
The position is part-time with split shifts: mornings and afternoons, three days a week, with additional morning slots on Tue/Thu.
Non-profit agency is seeking a responsible individual with good driving record and a valid driver's license to transport individuals with multiple disabilities to and from work. The route consists of Greensburg, New Kensington and Murrysville areas. This position requires driving an agency van that accommodates wheelchairs. The candidate must be able to assist individuals with various disabilities off and on the vehicle. Also, the ability to push the wheelchair into the vehicle and strap in place is required.
This is a part-time split shift including morning and afternoon hours. Availability would include morning hours (5:30 a.m. - 8:00 a.m.) and afternoon hours (2:30 p.m. - 5:00 p.m.) on Monday, Wednesday and Friday. The morning hours on Tuesday and Thursday (6:30 a.m. - 8:00 a.m) and afternoon hours (2:30 p.m. - 4:30 p.m.).
At least 5 years' driving experience, valid driver's license and good driving record is required.
