Job summary

JYL Transportation is seeking a Full-Time- Non-Emergency Van Driver in Chelmsford, MA to transport special needs children and adults to programs and appointments. You’ll be part of a caring transportation team, with a training rate of $20/hr and a driver rate of $24.41/hr, plus an extra $1/hr for wheelchair routes.

• Must be 19 years of age or older.
• Have 3+ years of consecutive driving experience.
• Possess an active Driver’s License with safe driving record.
• Must enjoy working with children and elderly, and always possess the ability to show patience and empathy.

Responsibilities

• Safely operate a motor vehicle in accordance with state and federal traffic laws.
• Safely operate a variety of vehicles including sedans, minivans, and wheelchair vans.
• Safely assist passengers as needed (enter/exit, seatbelts, securing in seats).
• Communicate effectively with children, adults, parents, staff, and elderly clients.
