Job summary

Provincial Senior Living is seeking a Driver to provide reliable transportation for residents to activities and appointments. You will assist passengers, secure mobility devices, and coordinate with dispatch to ensure timely service.

Responsibilities include maintaining vehicles, performing basic servicing, and keeping accurate vehicle condition records. A High School Diploma is required; CDL may be needed depending on route requirements.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Must be 21 years or older.
• CDL may be required with acceptable driving record per DOT.
• Experience in customer service, preferably in a senior living setting.
• Knowledge of safety precautions and ability to follow safety measures.

Responsibilities

• Provide timely and courteous transportation for residents to activities.
• Assist passengers into and out of the vehicle, including disabled passengers.
• Secure wheelchairs to restraining devices to stabilize them during trips.
• Operate radio/cell phone/pager to coordinate with base or other vehicles.
• Maintain community vehicles in good working condition and report issues.
• Clean and service vehicles with fuel, lubricants, and accessories.
• Assist with vehicle registration and license renewal processes.
• Inspect and document vehicle condition monthly and per trip.

• Current commercial driver’s license (CDL) may be required with an acceptable driving record in accordance with Federal Department of Transportation regulations.
• Experience in customer service environment, preferably in a senior living setting.
• Must be knowledgeable of all safety precautions and comply with safety measures.
• Competent in organization, time management skills and handling multiple priorities.
