Job summary

Sandy Vans LLC in San Diego, CA is seeking a hands-on Van Builder to bring custom interiors to life. You’ll work with your hands, read plans, and fit cabinets, electricals, plumbing, and van components from start to finish.

The role is full-time, in-person with a 4/10 schedule, offering competitive hourly pay and benefits. You’ll lift up to 50 lbs, use a range of hand and power tools, and collaborate with a creative team to craft mobile living spaces.

Responsibilities

• Running and installing electrical wiring and components throughout the van
• Assisting with the construction and installation of cabinets, shelving, and storage
• Installing plumbing components and systems, including wet baths and water systems
• Assembling and installing van components and systems from start to finish
• Using hand and power tools to cut, assemble, and finish wood components
• Reading blueprints, templates, and measurements for high-quality fit and finish
• Collaborating with the build team to maintain efficiency and precision
• Keeping workspace clean, safe, and organized
• Helping out with general van build tasks as needed

What You'll Do

As a Van Builder, you'll help bring our custom interiors to life. Your days will be spent working with your hands, solving problems, and building features that make our vans feel like home.

What We're Looking For

• Van building experience!
• Experience can include cabinetry, electrical, plumbing, and/or general assembly
• Proficient with hand and power tools
• Attention to detail, a great attitude, and a willingness to learn
• Some responsibilities include lifting up to 50lbs
• Ability to work both independently and in a team environment
• Must have a valid driver's license

Compensation & Benefits

• Pay: $20.00 - $28.00/hr (based on experience) + optional overtime
