Job summary

Allianz Partners is seeking an experienced vehicle/roadside technician in the Bristol area to diagnose faults at the roadside, decide between repair and recovery, and manage full job ownership from start to finish. You will operate a fully equipped van and interact directly with customers to keep journeys moving.

The role requires a UK driving licence, field-based readiness, and flexibility for shifts between 7am and 10pm, including some weekends.

Qualifications

• Proven experience as a vehicle/roadside technician and ability to work independently on scene.
• Strong diagnostic and fault-finding with modern equipment.
• Confident, calm communication with customers.
• Comfortable using IT, mobile apps and diagnostic software.
• Full UK driving licence and confidence driving a fully equipped van.
• EV credentials welcome; EV Level 3 IMI Accredited and ATA Level 3 training available.
• Flexibility for rotating shifts 7am–10pm, some weekends and holidays; paid overtime.

Responsibilities

• Attend roadside calls, assess the situation and diagnose faults on scene.
• Repair on the spot where safe, or arrange recovery when needed.
• Own each job end-to-end: communicate with customers and set expectations.
• Operate and maintain your van, manage tools/parts and document in systems.
• Meet safety/quality targets with clear financial rewards.
• Work in an environment shaped by AI, ML and cloud tools with responsible data use.
