Job summary

IDEX Corporation’s Richter Pumps & Valves division in Geismar, LA is seeking a Valve Technician / Painting Specialist to assemble, test, and paint industrial valves, ensuring corrosion protection and adherence to specifications. You will read blueprints, use hand and power tools, and operate basic test equipment in a safety-focused environment.

You should have 3–5 years of industry experience, a high school diploma or equivalent, and basic math and computer literacy.

Qualifications

• Reading and writing in English required.
• Computer literacy required.
• Forklift operation experience preferred.
• Mechanical aptitude and math skills beneficial.

Responsibilities

• Assemble and test valves according to engineering instructions and manuals.
• Assemble or disassemble complex mechanical systems and align components.
• Operate cranes, hoists, and other equipment to move parts.
• Set up and operate test equipment; maintain logs and records.
