This hands-on role focuses on assembling, testing, troubleshooting, and repairing flow control valves, PRVs, and electric actuators used in power generation, oil & gas, refining, and chemical processing. You will inspect and repair customer equipment, document activities, and support warehouse operations, including forklift use and inventory control.

Responsibilities

  • Assemble, test, and repair valve assemblies, actuators, and PRVs.
  • Build and commission equipment per customer specs.
  • Inspect, diagnose, and repair customer-owned equipment.
  • Document activities and quality inspections per procedures.
  • Support warehouse operations including forklift, shipping/receiving.
  • Assist with cycle counting and inventory accuracy.
  • Maintain general housekeeping and organized work area.
  • Process work orders and maintain records.
  • Follow safety, quality, and procedures.
  • Oversize overtime including weekends as needed.

Valve Technician

Location: Lewisville, TX

One of my clients, a respected leader in industrial process control solutions, is seeking a Valve Technician to join their growing team in Lewisville, Texas. This organization is a premier distributor of industrial process control, pressure protection, control systems, and related services throughout the Southwest, serving customers across Texas, Oklahoma, Western Arkansas, and New Mexico.

This is an excellent opportunity for a mechanically inclined professional who enjoys hands-on work and takes pride in delivering high-quality results. The Valve Technician plays a critical role in assembling, testing, troubleshooting, and repairing flow control valves, regulators, pressure relief valves (PRVs), and electric actuators used in essential industries including Power Generation, Oil & Gas, Refining, and Chemical Processing .

While the primary focus of the role is the assembly and testing of new equipment, you will also have the opportunity to inspect, diagnose, and repair customer equipment as needed.

What You'll Do

  • Assemble, test, and repair valve assemblies, electric actuators (up to 480V), and pressure relief valves.

  • Build and commission new equipment to customer specifications.

  • Inspect, troubleshoot, diagnose, and repair customer-owned equipment.

  • Document assembly, testing, repair activities, and quality inspections according to company procedures.

  • Support warehouse operations including:

  • Forklift operation

  • Shipping and receiving

  • Cycle counting inventory

  • General housekeeping and organization

  • Process work orders and maintain accurate records.

  • Adhere to all company safety standards, quality requirements, and operational procedures.

  • Work overtime, including weekends, when business needs require.

Physical Requirements

  • Ability to stand and walk for extended periods throughout the workday.

  • Ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds.

  • Strong hand-eye coordination and manual dexterity.

  • Ability to effectively communicate verbally and in writing in English.

  • Willingness and ability to wear required Personal Protective Equipment (PPE).

Pay Details: $23.00 to $25.00 per hour
