Valve Technician

Shift/Hours:Monday-Friday, 8:00am-5:00pm

Pay Rate:$30/hr

Location:Freeport, TX

Experience:5+ years

The ideal candidate for this role will be a highly experienced valve and process instrumentation specialist with strong mechanical and electrical skills, adept at both hands-on assembly and repair, and capable of clear customer communication and meticulous documentation. Valve Technician Responsibilities:

• Position, fit or align valve parts on workbench, floor or machine following manufacturers’ assembly procedures, work orders or other customer specifications.
• Assemble, inspect, test and verify accuracy of assembled unit for conformance to manufacturer standards and/or customer requirements.
• Adjust, repair, and/or replace defective product parts.
• Clean corrosive and other deposits from serviceable parts using solvents, wire brushes or sandblaster.
• Paints valve, fittings and other devices using spray gun.
• Thoroughly document testing and repair of the equipment.
• Communicate with customers and superiors to discuss the status of the repairs and tests.
• Lift, load, and move supplies and finished product between storage and work area.
• Follow safety procedures and regulations and maintain the work area and equipment in a clean and orderly condition.

Warehouse Technician Requirements:

• 5 to 8 years of experience required, including specific experience with valve and/or other process instrumentation equipment assembly.
• Repair, testing, calibration experience required
• Mechanical and Electrical experience preferred.
  Good computer skills a familiarity with ERP Systems (Oracle Preferred)
• Able to safely use and maintain a large variety of tools and equipment, associated with the assembly of valves and actuators, including impact wrenches, electric and manual hand tools, lapping machines, testing equipment, overhead cranes and forklifts.
• Able to work independently or as a team member with minimum supervision
