Job Summary
Millennium Power Services is seeking an experienced Valve Repair Field Supervisor to lead our Valve Technicians on field and shop jobs. You'll run jobs on customer sites, guide and develop your crew, and make sure valves are installed, repaired, tested and maintained safely and correctly. This role is ideal for a hands-on valve tech who is ready to lead. Travel is approximately 50–70%.
Responsibilities
- Supervision and Job Leadership: Supervise and lead Valve Technicians on field and shop jobs. Assign work, keep jobs on schedule, enforce company policies, and train and develop your crew.
- Valve Installation and Maintenance: Install, inspect, repair and maintain control, safety, relief, gate, globe and ball valves and actuators. Diagnose valve issues and carry out corrective actions.
- Testing and Calibration: Test and calibrate valves to industry standards and customer specifications using precision tools and instruments. Recommend preventive measures to extend valve life and reliability.
- Documentation and Reporting: Keep accurate records of installations, repairs and maintenance. Complete job reports with findings, recommendations and work performed.
- Customer and Team Communication: Work with project managers, engineers and customers to plan and execute jobs. Be the on-site point of contact and provide technical support.
- Safety and Compliance: Lead by example on safety. Make sure your crew follows company, customer and OSHA safety requirements and industry standards on every job.
- Flexibility: Work flexible shifts, weekends and outages as job schedules require.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent. Technical training or valve certifications are a plus.
- 5+ years of hands‑on experience repairing valves and actuators, strongly preferred.
- Previous experience running jobs or supervising technicians.
- Strong mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skills.
- Knowledge of valve types and their applications across industries such as power generation, refining and chemical processing.
- Experience working in both field and shop environments.
- Strong communication and leadership skills.
- Valid driver's license and the ability to travel 50–70%.
