Job summary

Piedmont Heart Institute Physicians in Atlanta is seeking a skilled RN to coordinate evaluation and screening for patients being evaluated for complex cardiac surgery. You will serve as the main point person for the valve team, physicians, patients, and other clinicians, ensuring smooth, cross‑departmental communication.

This role emphasizes patient navigation, program development, quality improvement, and adherence to evidence‑based protocols.

Qualifications

• Must be a graduate of an accredited school of nursing.
• Minimum 3 years of nursing experience in cardiology or critical care.
• Experience with program development, quality improvement, evidence‑based protocols, and regulatory readiness.
• Georgia RN licensure or multi‑state licensure (NLC/eNCL) required.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate evaluation and screening for cardiothoracic surgery patients.
• Serve as primary contact for the valve team and patients.
• Coordinate inter‑departmental processes and communications.
• Make recommendations to physician team for final determination and act as patient navigator.

Experience in program development, quality improvement, research, development of evidence based clinical protocols, and regulatory readiness program planning. Previous experience in professional presentations and group education Required
