Blue Origin LLC is seeking a Shift Lead to guide our C-shift integration engineers and production personnel. You’ll influence safety, quality, and efficiency as you shape the future of spaceflight manufacturing, leading a skilled team across high-value components for engine programs.

The role requires hands-on leadership, strong communication, and a commitment to continuous improvement in a dynamic, industrial environment. Expect occasional overtime and travel, with relocation support offered.

Passion for our mission and vision is required!Special Mentions - Relocation provided - Travel expected up to 10% of the time - Shifts available: C shift - Interviews will include a technical assessmentResponsibilities include but are not limited to:Conduct performance reviewsSupport recruiting efforts (conducting technical screens/participating in panel interviews)Responsible for establishing workstation assignments, employee training, overtime assignments and back-up for absent employeesMaintain and communicate work center schedule status to ensure meeting customer expectationsProvide first level escalation support to employees regarding HR issues (employee relations, worker’s compensation, disciplinary actions, timecards, PTO requests)Identifying Continuous Improvement opportunities and implementing change to improve process, reduce cycle and setup timesMaintain all work center programs. These programs include 5S, Lean, Cleaning and SafetyEnsure all team members follow work instructions, quality requirements and processesEnsure accurate technician staff data recording - namely clock-in/clock-out activitiesProvide continued training and skills development for team members, and mentor early career team membersEnsure start-up readiness for productionSafely work within an industrial environmentMinimum Qualifications1+ years of experience managing a team within a manufacturing or aerospace environment OR 3+ years of experience in as an individual contributor within a manufacturing or aerospace environment.Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to effectively collaborate with teams and stakeholders.Ability to analyze data and metrics to drive decision-making and operational improvements.Proficiency in digital tools, including Windows and Microsoft Office applications.Root cause and corrective action analysis experienceUnderstand the department KPI’s metrics to improve performanceStrong communication skills with a heavy customer focusMust have a continuous improvement mindsetClear understanding of production versus development environmentsFluent in use of precision hand toolsFamiliar with use of personal computersSelf-motivation and ability to prioritize projects to meet completion datesMust be a U.S. citizen or national, U.S. permanent resident (current Green Card holder), or lawfully admitted into the U.S. as a refugee or granted asylum.Preferred QualificationsIndustry certification, trade school training and/or degree in related field.Experience in aerospace manufacturing, integration, or other relevant fieldExperience working on fluid systems with applied chemistry fundamentals.Experience with advanced manufacturing technologies and tools (e.g., CAD software, ERP systems).Ability to adapt to changing priorities and handle multiple tasks simultaneously.Familiarity with regulatory compliance in aerospace manufacturing.Proven track record of successful team leadership and project management.Strong knowledge of Lean manufacturing principles and practices.Lean Manufacturing and/or Six Sigma certification.Willingness to work overtime.Strong experience with fluids and mechanical systemsKnowledge of installation and assembly tolerancesBachelor’s degree in engineering, manufacturing, aerospace, Military, or equivalent experience.Base Pay Range for:WA applicants is $113,158.00 - $158,420.85Other site ranges may differCulture StatementDon’t meet all desired requirements?
