Job summary

EPI Valves Texas is seeking an experienced Valve Technician to join our shop team. You will oversee the complete lifecycle of valve maintenance—from disassembly and inspection to precision assembly, testing, and detailed QA documentation.

This role requires strong mechanical aptitude, a safety-first mindset, and hands-on expertise with large-bore gate valves. Reading drawings, schematics, and work orders is essential, as is passing a pre-employment drug screen and maintaining a valid driver’s

Qualifications

• Minimum 3 years hands-on experience with large bore gate valves.
• High School Diploma or GED equivalent.
• U.S. Citizenship required.
• Valid Driver's License required.
• Ability to read/interpret technical drawings, schematics, and work orders.
• Pre-employment drug screen and ongoing random testing.

Responsibilities

• Disassemble and inspect valves for wear or non-conformance.
• Assemble valves with precision and perform pressure tests.
• Complete QA/QC documentation and service records.
• Process material requisitions to ensure correct parts.
• Adhere to quality standards and participate in QA processes.

About the Role

We are seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Valve Technician to join our shop team. In this role, you will be responsible for the complete lifecycle of valve maintenance - including disassembly, thorough inspection, precision assembly, testing, and detailed quality documentation.

Key Responsibilities

• Disassembly & Inspection: Safely disassemble valves; inspect components for wear, damage, or non-conformance against specifications.
• Assembly & Testing: Perform precision assembly and pressure/performance testing on serviced and reconditioned valves.
• Quality & Documentation: Accurately complete all required QA/QC documentation, test reports, and service records.
• Material Management: Understand and process material requisitions to ensure correct parts and supplies are utilized.
• Quality Functions: Adhere to shop quality control standards and participate in additional quality assurance processes as required.
• Safety & Shop Maintenance: Maintain a safe, clean, and organized workspace in compliance with company safety standards.

Qualifications & Requirements

• Experience: Minimum of 3 of hands-on experience working specifically with large bore gate valves.
• Education: High School Diploma or GED equivalent.
• Citizenship: Must be a U.S. Citizen (required for compliance/facility requirements).
• Licensing: Must possess a valid, current Driver's License.
• Technical Skills: Ability to read/interpret technical drawings, schematics, and work orders.
• Drug Screen Requirements: Must successfully pass a pre-employment drug screening and consent to ongoing random drug testing.
