Job summary

McWane Plant & Industrial in Calera, Alabama is seeking an experienced valve assembler to join our fabrication and machining operation. This role covers assembly of parts, subassemblies, and components, plus testing, loading/unloading, and palletizing finished products.

Requirements include 1-2 years in manufacturing or valve assembly and a high school diploma or GED. Overtime may be required depending on demand.

Qualifications

• 1-2 years experience in manufacturing or valve assembly.
• High school diploma or GED required.
• Experience as valve assembler preferred.

Responsibilities

• Ensure personal and team safety at all times.
• Maintain a safe and healthy work environment.
• Wear PPE including steel-toed boots and safety glasses.
• Assemble valves and subassemblies using hand tools and equipment.
• Test products and visually inspect quality.
• Prepare parts, subassemblies, and tools for assembly.
• Keep work area clean and organized; document actions.
• Operate forklift and obtain certification.
