Parker Hannifin Corp is seeking a seasoned operations leader to run the hose value stream and drive lean initiatives. You will implement the Parker Lean system and Win Strategy to improve safety, quality, and efficiency while reducing costs and lead times.

Responsibility for leading operation of hose value stream. Implements under the direction of Plant Manager, the Parker Lean system and Win Strategy to ensure a safe work environment, drive quality improvements, provide premier customer service, develop a qualified workforce, reduce operating costs, inventories and lead times through continuous improvements. Oversee day-to-day activities to meet daily, monthly, quarterly and annual expectations.

B.A./B.S. degree in a related technical or business discipline or equivalent required. Professional level experience of six or more years and demonstrated ability to perform the described role and responsibilities and obtain the desired results. Aerospace experience preferred. Proven competency in a team leader role for two or more years, and/or demonstrated leadership of major projects or programs in a team environment.
Thorough knowledge of products, manufacturing processes and technology, information systems, and/or specialty areas, and general business practices.
Demonstrated teamwork and team building skills in producing results and meeting organizational objectives. Capable of assessing and developing individual and team skills and capabilities. Able to create and maintain enthusiasm for new and challenging goals. Serve as a role model by promoting new ideas and positive change.
Possess analytical and technical skills required to understand business practices and recommend proper automation opportunities.
Excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills for effective interface with all internal and external contacts.
Must be an innovator and embrace lean enterprises principles and practices. Effectively applies lean initiatives. Demonstrates effective verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills, as well as the ability to work in a team environment. Interprets reports and uses job specific software applications. Able to use employee self‑service systems to access on‑line information and use specialized automated systems (i.e., PMR, TORS, e‑mail). Effectively demonstrates team member competencies and participates in goal setting, performance feedback, and self‑development activities.
While performing the duties of this job, the team member is required to walk, stand, and sit for extended periods of time. The team member is required to demonstrate manual dexterity and use hands to operate machinery. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision. Also expected of the team member is regular attendance, and the ability to work cooperatively and professionally with others. May be required to lift up to 50 lbs.
