Job summary

Optima Medical in Arizona seeks qualified clinicians to provide outpatient primary care across our network. You will review medical history, perform exams, diagnose and treat conditions, and develop individualized treatment plans.

You will collaborate with care teams, order tests, provide preventive care, document in eCW, and contribute to value-based care initiatives. Arizona license or eligibility required; board certification in Family/Internal Medicine preferred.

Qualifications

• MD/NP/PA credentialing or equivalent.
• Board-certified in Family Medicine or Internal Medicine or related field preferred.
• Active Arizona license or ability to obtain before start date.

Responsibilities

• Discuss and review patients' medical history, symptoms, allergies, and current medications.
• Perform comprehensive physical examinations and clinical assessments.
• Diagnose and treat acute and chronic medical conditions.
• Develop and implement individualized treatment plans focused on improving patient outcomes.
• Prescribe medications and provide dosage and administration instructions.
• Order, review, and interpret laboratory, imaging, and diagnostic tests.

Job Responsibilities:

• Discuss and review patients' medical history, symptoms, allergies, and current medications
• Perform comprehensive physical examinations and clinical assessments
• Ask patients situation-specific questions to formulate accurate diagnoses
• Diagnose and treat acute and chronic medical conditions
• Develop and implement individualized treatment plans focused on improving patient outcomes
• Prescribe suitable medications and provide proper dosage and administration instructions
• Order, review, and interpret laboratory, imaging, and diagnostic test results
• Provide preventive care services, wellness visits, health screenings, and patient education
• Collaborate with care teams and specialists to coordinate comprehensive patient care
• Manage patient panels and support value-based care initiatives, quality measures, and population health goals
• Maintain accurate and timely documentation in eClinicalWorks (eCW)

Job Qualifications:

• Doctor of Medicine (MD), Nurse Practitioner (NP), or Physician Assistant (PA)
• Board-certified in Family Medicine, Internal Medicine, or a related field
• Active Arizona license or ability to obtain prior to start date
• Experience providing primary care services in an outpatient setting preferred
• Sound medical knowledge
• Experience utilizing electronic medical record systems, preferably eClinicalWorks (eCW)
• Knowledge of value-based care models, quality measures, and population health management preferred
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
• Exceptional communication skills
• A patient and compassionate disposition
• Detail-oriented
