Job summary

Regal Rexnord in Cleveland seeks a Manual Grinder/Setup Operator for first shift to set up and run CNC lathes, inspect parts, and ensure conformance to drawings. The role requires blueprint reading, tools management, and precise speed/feed calculations.

Responsibilities

• Set up to operate CNC Lathe while meeting production standards.
• Inspect parts to print, identify defects, perform deburring if needed.
• Interpret drawings, route sheets, and shop orders for sequencing.
• Select and mount tools, verify tool accuracy and depth.
• Maintain clean, safe work area and comply with ISO 9001.

Work Model

This is a fully onsite role, with work performed at your designated Regal Rexnord office.

Open Position

Manual Grinder/Setup Operator on 1st shift

Pay Range: $24.00-$30.00 based on experience

Our people make all the difference in our success. As a Value Added Set up Operator at Regal Rexnord Cleveland your focus will be to:

• Set up to operate CNC Lathe machinery upholding and adhering to production standards and ISO 9001 regulations and guidelines.
• Inspect product to print, looking for any flaws and defect of material, including deburring if necessary.
• Interpret drawings, specifications, process sheets, program readouts and shop orders to plan and check work.
• Obtain proper set of tools from tool crib, select holders, mount, secure, and check tools for accuracy.
• Interpret drawings, route sheets, diagrams, specifications, and instructions to determine proper operation sequences.
• Make necessary calculations for tool depth and tool compensation adjustments.
• Move completed material to the next workstation.
• Maintain clean and safe work environment.

Education and Experience Requirements

• One year certificate from college or technical school preferred.
• 6 months – 1-year related experience or training.
• Ability to interpret and understand verbal and written directions.
• Mechanically inclined with strong math skills.
• Ability to read basic measuring devices, including micrometers, and calipers.
• Working knowledge of surface footage and feed rates and experienced in calculating feeds and speeds.
• Must successfully complete a blueprint reading course.
