Job summary

Regal Rexnord Cleveland is seeking a Value Added Set up Operator to join our onsite manufacturing team. You will set up and operate CNC lathes, interpret blueprints and process sheets, and ensure production standards and ISO 9001 compliance.

You will prepare tools, verify measurements with calipers and micrometers, inspect parts for conformance, and maintain a clean, safe work environment while following routing and work instructions to support efficient, quality production.

Qualifications

• One year certificate from college or technical school preferred.
• 6 months - 1 year related experience or training.
• Ability to interpret and understand verbal and written directions.
• Mechanically inclined with strong math skills.
• Ability to read basic measuring devices, including micrometers and calipers; experience with feeds and speeds.
• Must successfully complete a blueprint reading course.

Responsibilities

• Set up to operate CNC Lathe machinery upholding production standards.
• Inspect product to print, looking for flaws and material defects, including deburring.
• Interpret drawings, specifications, process sheets, program readouts and shop orders.
• Obtain proper set of tools from tool crib, select holders, mount, secure, and check tools.
• Interpret drawings, route sheets, diagrams, and instructions to determine operation sequences.
• Make calculations for tool depth and tool compensation adjustments.
• Move completed material to the next workstation.
• Maintain clean and safe work environment.

Education and Experience Requirements

• Ability to read basic measuring devices, including micrometers, and calipers. Working knowledge of surface footage and feed rates and experienced in calculating feeds and speeds.
• Must successfully complete a blueprint reading course.
