About The Role

As a Valuation Manager for Fine Jewelry and Watches at TheRealReal, you will facilitate day-to-day valuation appointments, servicing clients that visit our Luxury Consignment Office. This includes pricing and authenticating items across our dynamic acceptance standards. As a subject-matter expert, you will support supply drives through valuations, remote pricing, and educating our consignors, customers, and peers. Your passion and market expertise will help deliver a world-class experience. We seek a process-driven individual with extraordinary attention to detail eager to hone their skills.

What You Get To Do Every Day
  • Facilitate valuation appointments, providing a relaxed, educational experience to clients about their items' value.
  • Conduct real-time valuations and authentication using industry-specific tools.
  • Provide pre-consignment pricing to consignors and sales teams based on guidance from the Luxury Consignment Office.
  • Maintain understanding of pricing trends and sell-through velocity in your category by collaborating with Pricing and Authentication teams.
  • Be responsible for the sell-through and velocity of your personally priced products.
  • Ensure high conversion rates from appointments to consignments.
  • Work with Store Managers to understand customer needs and stay updated on in-store operations.
  • Support other requests as needed for the Luxury Consignment Office and Retail Store, as directed by the Senior Manager, Valuations Team.
What You Bring To The Role
Minimum Requirements:
  • Flexibility to work certain weekend days.
  • 2-5 years experience in a luxury, customer-facing role.
  • Knowledge of fine jewelry and watches in primary or secondary markets.
  • GIA coursework preferred.
  • Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university preferred.
  • Sales experience encouraged.
  • A passion for delivering a luxury experience daily.
  • Polished, professional presentation skills.
  • Ability to handle multiple complex, time-sensitive situations calmly.
  • Effective verbal and written communication skills.
  • Proactive initiative and organizational need anticipation, including meeting deadlines.
  • Ability to foresee potential obstacles and problem-solve to ensure smooth valuation processes.

p>The expected salary range is $65,581.10 - $93,687.00, considering various factors such as location, skills, experience, and internal parity. Salary is part of TRR’s total rewards, which may include bonuses, incentive pay, and benefits.
