Job summary

JPMorgan Chase & Co. in New York seeks a Valuation Controller for the Rates team. You will manage valuation controls, perform independent price verification, and drive fair value adjustments across North America rates, working with Front Office, Finance and Tech.

Responsibilities include reviewing complex trades, enhancing valuation methodologies, and supporting regulatory exams. Strong analytical skills and communication are essential.

Qualifications

• Understanding of valuation concepts for financial products and derivatives
• Ability to analyze complex transactions and processes
• Experience with independent price verification and fair value adjustments is a plus
• Familiarity with regulatory requirements and controls in valuation
• Strong written and verbal communication skills

Responsibilities

• Own the full valuation control framework for the Rates business, including IP verification and fair value
• Review complex Rate transactions, challenging trading biases and ensuring controls
• Identify valuation risks and drive methodological enhancements
• Collaborate with Quantitative Research and Model Review on model limitations and controls
• Liaise with Front Office, Finance, Technology and Risk for month-end results and new products
• Participate in regulatory exams and address inquiries from regulators
