Job summary

Stout, a leading valuation advisory firm, is seeking a valuation professional to manage complex assignments including private debt and equity portfolios, and to lead production of valuation analyses while maintaining client relationships.

Requirements include at least 2 years in business valuation, a bachelor’s in finance or related field, strong financial modelling skills, and proficiency in Excel; CFA/ASA/CPA preferred. Travel and cross‑functional collaboration are expected.

Qualifications

Minimum 2 years of experience in business valuation.
Bachelor’s degree in finance, accounting, economics, financial engineering, mathematics, or another quantitative field is required.
Strong knowledge of key financial models and valuation methodologies.
Progress towards or completion of CFA, ASA, or CPA is preferred.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Proficient in Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
Knowledge of Python and/or Tableau/Power BI is a plus.

Responsibilities

Performing corporate and asset valuations including analysis of discounted cash flows, capitalization of earnings, comparable companies, merger and acquisition transactions, purchase price allocations, goodwill impairment testing, and stock option analysis.
Preparing written valuation reports for client presentation.
Developing client rapport and participating in due diligence meetings and other client interactions.
Provide valuation services for management planning.
Conducting and overseeing company, industry, and economic research.
Analyzing general economic conditions and industry specific conditions and trends.
