Job summary

Newmark seeks a Valuation Associate to assist in preparing appraisal report sections for dispute resolution and underwriting. You will collect leases and financials, analyze market data, and assist in property inspections alongside senior staff.

With guidance, you will develop valuation techniques, HBUs, and progress toward full appraisal reporting under state-certified supervisors. Growth toward independent reporting is expected.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in real estate or related fields; MS/MBA preferred.
• 1–3 years of real estate analysis or market research experience.
• Strong writing, analytical and communication abilities.
• Knowledge of real estate data sources and market fundamentals.

Responsibilities

• Prepare sections of appraisal reports under supervision for dispute resolution and underwriting.
• Aggregate, analyze, and report market data from internal and external sources.
• Collect leases, rent rolls, and financial statements for initial analysis.
• Inspect properties with senior staff and develop valuation analyses.
• Develop skills to draft complete appraisal reports and use state license guidance.
