Job summary

Capital Group seeks a Core Operations Valuation Analyst to support daily valuation processes and ensure accuracy across equities, fixed income, and derivatives.

You will review vendor performance, prepare reports for committees, and analyze liquidity and stress-test data to meet regulatory standards. Strong communication with senior leaders is essential, along with mentoring teammates and delivering high-quality work under pressure.

Qualifications

• Strong knowledge of securities, financial markets and valuation techniques (e.g., DCF, comps, spread pricing).
• General knowledge of mutual funds, investment management and GAAP experience.
• Understanding of pricing methodologies for ETFs, OTC, fixed income and derivatives.
• Experience interacting with pricing vendors and performing due diligence.
• Experience with daily validation of third-party vendor prices.
• Analytical and problem-solving capabilities; able to interpret financial statements and assess impact on fair value.
• Ability to communicate complex ideas to senior leaders and committees.
• Mentoring and guiding teammates; delivering quality work under pressure.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and review daily and periodic valuation tasks.
• Assess and track vendor performance; present monthly, quarterly and ad hoc valuation reports to internal committees.
• Perform in-depth valuation analysis focusing on equities, fixed income and derivatives.
• Analyze liquidity data and present insights to senior leaders and oversight committees.
• Monitor, review, and test liquidity classifications and conduct stress testing per regulatory requirements.
