Job summary

CHATFIELD PUBLIC SCHOOLS seeks a Valleyland School-Age Care teacher for Mon-Fri, 2:30-5:30 p.m., with lead responsibilities for 3-year-olds on Mon and Thu. The role includes desk duties, supervision, and evening hours as needed. CPR/First Aid certifications must be obtained within the first month of hire.

Non-exempt, part-time position at Valleyland SAC. The incumbent will follow a daily plan, supervise arrivals/dismissals, coordinate with the SAC Coordinator, and support classroom staff as

Responsibilities

• Lead activities as directed by the lead teacher or SAC Coordinator
• Follow the daily plan for the room
• Manage arrival & dismissal of students and other desk duties
• Room/site supervision, as needed
• Follow schedule for students’ outside activities (ball, summer school, swim lessons)
• Interact with children and discipline as needed
• Keep lead teacher updated regarding student behaviors and needs
• Prepare room as needed
• Supervise and provide direction for classroom assistants

Job description

Valleyland School-Age Care teacher, Mon-Fri, 2:30-5:30 p.m. Lead for 3 year olds, Monday and Thursdays. Desk attendant and float on Tuesdays, Wednesdays, and Fridays. Morning hours available, if interested.

General Definition of Work

Performs intermediate administrative support work performing various front desk duties and child supervision. Working directly under the supervision of the School Age Childcare Coordinator. Before and after school hours available. Applicants that do not have after school activity commitments are encouraged to apply.

Essential Functions

Special Requirements

CPR certification - must be obtained within first month of hire.
