Job summary

Valley Farms Supply, a division of Headwater Companies, is seeking a Branch Manager or equivalent to lead the Lansing, MI warehouse and operations. You will supervise all warehouse roles, drive inside sales, manage inventory, and support AR tasks while ensuring compliance with company policies and regulatory requirements.

The role begins early with a 4am-1pm schedule, offers bonus opportunities, and pays $60,000.00 to $70,000.00 annually depending on experience. This is a full-time position.

Qualifications

• Supervise warehouse and branch operations, ensuring policy adherence.
• Manage inside sales to meet customer needs and drive profits.
• Oversee inventory control, cycle counts and vendor claims processing.
• Hire, train and develop branch staff to support sales and service.
• Experience in AR management and collections is a plus.

GENERAL DESCRIPTION OF POSITION:

Direct all warehouse activities within the Branch; purchasing and distribution as dictated by company policy while meeting market demands and deploying tactics to overcome competitors’ initiatives. Assist the Branch Manager in establishing and maintaining the distribution of all products maximizing profits of the Branch territory. Ensure that all employees adhere to company practices and policies and function within the rules and regulations of government agencies and regulatory bodies.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

• This position has a start time of 4am to 1pm, subject to change
• Supervise all warehouse and operations positions within the branch to ensure that assigned tasks are accomplished and that all policies and procedures are adhered to
• Provide products and services, based on customer needs, through inside sales functions
• Assist in determining staff requirements; execute through interviewing, hiring and training of new employees
• Supports sales representatives utilizing company policy, product knowledge, procedures, and future opportunities
• Maintain inventory control and cycle counts; working closely with the Purchasing Department and adhering to the guidelines set by the company
• Supervise warranty claims processing to vendors monthly
• Develop new markets and customers
• Assist in managing Branch Accounts Receivable
• Serve as floater for all positions within the Branch to accommodate scheduling needs
• Must have the ability to multitask and learn new processes and operations
• Must have excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Performs other related duties as needed
• Salary commensurate on experience
