Job summary

Echelle Resources is seeking a Validation Technician to support Honda R&D at its Raymond, Ohio facility. This is a hands-on, onsite contract role working with prototype vehicles, components, software, and engineering teams.

Schedule is Monday through Friday, 100% onsite, 40 hours per week. Start date is ASAP. The ideal candidate is technically curious, dependable, detail oriented, and able to clearly communicate observations during testing.

Qualifications

• Hands-on, hands-on role working with prototype vehicles and engineering teams.
• Experience with vehicle diagnostics or repair is helpful but not required.
• Clear documentation of test results and observations is essential.

Responsibilities

• Perform vehicle and system validation per engineering instructions.
• Work directly with prototype and development vehicles.
• Reproduce and investigate reported issues.
• Install, remove, or exchange prototype vehicle components.
• Perform software updates, flashing, configuration, and basic system setup.
• Gather logs, screenshots, photos, vehicle information, and test data.
• Clearly document test results, failures, and observations.
• Assist engineers with troubleshooting and issue reproduction.
• Track assigned work and provide accurate status updates.
• Learn Honda-specific tools, processes, systems, and validation procedures.
• Drive development vehicles under specific test conditions when required.
• Support additional onsite validation activities as project needs change.

Location: Honda R&D, Raymond, Ohio

Schedule: Monday through Friday, 100% Onsite

Employment Type: 1099 Contract

Hours: Approximately 40 hours per week

Start: ASAP

This is a hands on technical role working directly with prototype vehicles, vehicle components, software, testing, and engineering teams.

This is not a software development position. We are looking for someone who is technically curious, dependable, detail oriented, comfortable working around vehicles and technology, and able to clearly communicate what they observe during testing.

Day to day responsibilities may include:

• Performing vehicle and system validation based on engineering instructions
• Working directly with prototype and development vehicles
• Reproducing and investigating reported issues
• Installing, removing, or exchanging prototype vehicle components
• Performing software updates, flashing, configuration, and basic system setup
• Gathering logs, screenshots, photos, vehicle information, and test data
• Clearly documenting test results, failures, and observations
• Assisting engineers with troubleshooting and issue reproduction
• Tracking assigned work and providing accurate status updates
• Learning Honda specific tools, processes, systems, and validation procedures
• Driving development vehicles under specific test conditions when required
• Supporting additional onsite validation activities as project needs change

We are especially interested in candidates with experience in areas such as:

• Vehicle diagnostics or repair
• Electrical or electronic systems
• Hardware or software troubleshooting
• Prototype vehicles or vehicle components
• Test equipment and data collection
• Android or embedded systems
• ADB or command line tools
• Jira or other issue tracking tools

Prior automotive experience is helpful but not required.

For this position, communication, dependability, attention to detail, technical aptitude, and the ability to learn are extremely important.
