Job summary

Hendrickson seeks a Validation R&D Engineer Co-Op student to gain hands-on experience in a lab environment. You will help design test rigs, run prototypes, and analyze data to inform product development decisions.

As a student in mechanical engineering, you will collaborate with technicians, schedule tests, and assist in creating DVPs. A strong foundation in statics, dynamics, physics, calculus, and materials is expected.

Qualifications

• Pursuing a Bachelor's degree or higher in mechanical engineering or related field.
• Previous work in a test lab, machine shop, or business setting is a plus.
• Knowledge of statics, dynamics, physics, calculus, and materials.
• Excellent oral, written, and PC skills; emphasis on Excel.

Responsibilities

• Work with Product Development Technicians to set up, execute, inspect, document, and analyze tests.
• Schedule testing and prototype building.
• Specify and purchase equipment for project evaluation.
• Design, develop, and document test procedures; conduct tests and report results.
• Acquire and analyze test data with data acquisition systems and other means.
• Assist in creating Design Verification Plans (DVP) for products requiring validation testing.
• Commit to a safe work environment by completing safety training and following procedures.
