Job summary

EMD Millipore Corporation seeks a Validation Project Manager in Burlington, MA to lead multi‑customer validation projects from order through final report. You will develop realistic plans, monitor progress, and coordinate with service teams to ensure timely delivery.

The role requires a biology/chemistry background with 2+ years in biotech/pharma, knowledge of extractables/leachables validation, QA practices, and root cause analysis. In‑office work at least three days per week in Burlington.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in biology, biochemistry, chemistry, or related field.
• At least two years of work experience in biotechnology or pharmaceutical industries.
• Knowledge of extractables and leachables validation.
• Knowledge of QA and Good Documentation Practices (OSHA, EHS, ISO9001).
• Ability with root cause analysis.

Responsibilities

• Manage multiple customer projects—from order to final report.

• Create, track, and close projects accurately and timely.

At least three days of in‑office work per week are required; you must reside in the Burlington, MA area.

Responsibilities

• Manage multiple customer projects—including bacterial retention testing, physical testing (compatibility, product bubble point/diffusion, and/or Vmax), and extractables and leachables—from order to final report, ensuring successful completion.
• Develop realistic project plans shared with customers, monitor progress, and adjust timelines as necessary.
• Serve as the liaison between customers and validation service teams to coordinate activities effectively.
• Communicate proactively with customers and internal teams through timely updates, meetings, and discussions.
• Create, update, track, and close projects accurately and in a timely manner.
• Provide technical support for standard services, help customers define their needs, and answer basic questions.
• Consult with VPMs, laboratory experts, and support teams for necessary project information and assistance.
• Assist with standard quotations based on customer needs and regulatory requirements while providing technical support.

Requirements and Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Biology, Biochemistry, Chemistry, or a closely related field.
• At least two years of work experience in the biotechnology or pharmaceutical industries.
• Demonstrated knowledge of extractables and leachables validation.
• Demonstrated knowledge of project management and scheduling tools such as SalesForce, Smartsheet, SharePoint, and Microsoft 360.
• Demonstrated knowledge of quality assurance and Good Documentation Practices (OSHA, EHS, ISO9001).
• Demonstrated ability working with root cause analysis.
• All years of experience may be gained concurrently.

Compensation

Salary range: $78,208 to $98,208 per year. Compensation is based on experience, location, and other factors.
