MACOM seeks a Validation Engineer Intern in Newport Beach, CA for a 12-week program to support test automation and validation activities. You will configure test equipment, develop automation scripts, and learn from senior engineers while reviewing data sheets and design documents.

The role offers hands-on experience with lab equipment, an opportunity to present project outcomes, and formal feedback. Requires senior year of EEE/EE with C# programming skills.

Qualifications

  • Senior year of BSEE or working toward an MSEE degree.
  • Lab skills and experience using lab equipment is a plus.
  • Experience in C# programming is a must.

Responsibilities

  • Provide help to senior validation Eng. in configuration/set-up of test equipment and hardware.
  • Provide Support in programming and creating automation scripts for test automation.
  • Monitor and understand product features by reading data sheet and design documentation.
  • Create draft validation report and data logs.
  • Coordinate final data review with senior validation Eng.
  • During the 12 weeks each Intern will: be given an individual and well-defined project with set outcome goals; gain hands-on experience; receive excellent training and ongoing supervision; attend an intern webinar series; attend networking/social events; attend and present at Poster Session about each Interns project successes and pitfalls; receive formal, written feedback.

These products are tested by bench-top lab equipment in block, chip and system level before moving to production.Specific Responsibilities:Provide help to senior validation Eng.
