Cortland is seeking a Front Door Waste Technician to manage daily waste collection for a multifamily community. You will ensure clean, safe common spaces and provide courteous resident service.

Responsibilities include walking routes, operating waste equipment, and logging times via a mobile app while adhering to EPA/OSHA safety policies. A valid license and ability to lift 50 lbs are required.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• At least 1 year of waste services or customer-service experience.
• Knowledge of EPA/OSHA waste handling and safety.
• Bilingual ability is a plus.
• Ability to read and follow written instructions.
• Ability to work outdoors in varying weather and tolerate strong odors.
• Physical ability to lift up to 50 lbs and walk long distances.
• Valid Class E driver’s license for local driving.
• Smartphone with data plan and active email for documentation.

Responsabilités

• Collect resident waste bags and place into leak-proof hampers or carts.
• Transfer waste from carts into the vehicle and dispose into onsite compactors.
• Safely operate compactors and clear debris from areas.
• Remove trash from dog waste stations, pools, and other common spaces.
• Walk property routes and provide valet trash service.
• Monitor for improper or prohibited waste and take appropriate action.
