Valet Ramp Captain Job Description
Job Summary
The Valet Ramp Captain will be responsible for ensuring the safety and efficiency of parking guest vehicles while delivering exceptional service that exceeds our customer and client's expectations. This includes responding quickly to customers' requests, providing caring interactions with all guests, leading other Valet staff, and supporting the Guest Service Manager.
Essential Responsibilities
- Establish positive guest relationships through consistent delivery of customer service to all guests, co-workers, and clients.
- Greet guests in a professional and friendly manner upon arrival and departure.
- Ensure valet attendants provide the highest level of customer service.
- Provide strong leadership and lead by example to enhance the team’s performance.
- Monitor and maintain efficient traffic flow throughout the valet staging area.
- Supervise valet operations and resolve issues in the absence of the Guest Service Manager.
- Retrieve and park vehicles cautiously in designated areas.
- Follow all appearance standards set by Evolution Parking & Guest Services, including complete, pressed uniforms.
- Follow all attendance standards as per the schedule, which may vary according to location needs.
- Execute all terms and conditions outlined in the Evolution Parking & Guest Services Handbook and other policies.
- Adhere to site-specific safety and security procedures.
- Maintain a clean and neat work environment, including all surrounding areas of the ramp, valet desk, wheelchairs, parking area, bell carts, bell closet, trash receptacles, and ash urns.
- Ensure all keys are properly stored in the key box.
- Participate in Crescendo Academy and Crescendo Leadership Development Programs.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Minimum Education Required
- Associate's Degree, High School Diploma, or GED required, or relevant work experience.
- Understanding of general business practices, including accounting, human resources, and customer service.
Minimum Experience Required
- Experience in valet parking.
- Valid US Driver's License.
- At least 2 years in a management position.
- Experience with HRIS platforms such as ADP.
- Experience with Customer Service.
Skills Required
- Strong customer service and client relationship skills.
- Excellent oral and written communication skills.
- Strong technology proficiency.
- Strong organizational skills with meticulous attention to detail and accuracy.
- Ability to collaborate effectively and work as part of a team.
- Exceptional attention to detail and ability to multitask in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.
