Job summary

Western Reserve Hospital in Cuyahoga Falls, OH is seeking a parking attendant to welcome visitors, park vehicles safely, and assist with wheelchairs and door entry. You will be the first point of contact and help manage flow in a busy hospital campus.

This role requires a valid driver's license, the ability to work outside in all weather, and good communication with patients and staff. Schedule varies with early mornings, weekdays, and no holidays.

Qualifications

• Must possess a valid driver's license and have no more than 2 points within the last two year period; must have less than 3 points on license at time of hire.
• Must be able to be insured by hospital insurance for driving.
• Must report additional points obtained to HR within 48 hours of issue that may affect insurance eligibility (DUI).
• Must be able to effectively operate all standard and automatic transmission vehicles.
• Must be able to walk for extended periods of time; bend to get into and out of cars; assist customers into wheelchairs and push them into the building; list light to medium weight overnight bags into the lobby area.
• Ability to effectively communicate with customers and relevant personnel.
• Must be able to work outside in all types of weather.
• Ideal candidate will offer flexibility with ability to perform other duties as assigned; may include operation of entrance screening and visitation management.

Description

Serves as potential first contact point for visitors and patients of the hospital by providing an alternate service to customers parking their own vehicles. Greets customers and parks their vehicles in a safe and professional manner. Assists with wheelchair as well as entering and exiting vehicle.

Ideal candidate will offer flexibility and availability with ability to perform other duties as assigned. Current additional assignments may include operation of entrance screening and wayfinding, and visitation management.

Schedule: As needed, Monday through Friday; Variable shifts beginning as early as 6:45 am and ending as late as 5:00pm, No Holidays
