ResponsibilitiesHospital Valet Attendant serves as a first point of contact for patients, visitors, physicians, and staff arriving at the hospital.In a fast-paced environment, the Valet Attendant provides safe, courteous, and efficient valet parking services while maintaining a professional and compassionate demeanor.Responsibilities include greeting guests, parking and retrieving vehicles, assisting with directions, supporting patient transport needs as appropriate, and ensuring traffic flow remains safe and unobstructed at hospital entrances.The Valet Attendant must demonstrate excellent customer service skills, maintain awareness of emergency vehicle access routes, and respond appropriately during high-volume and emergency situations while adhering to all hospital safety, security, and confidentiality standards.Completes all mandatory department, educational and hospital requirementsAdheres to current Infection Control and Safety StandardsRegular and prompt attendanceAbility to work schedule as defined and overtime as requiredRelated duties as assignedAdditional InformationEmployees must be in a regular position, working 20 hours or more per week (.50 FTE or greater) to qualify for benefits.
QualificationsHigh School Diploma or equivalent RequiredPossession of a valid drivers license and maintenance of a driving record sufficient to maintain insurance coverage under the University of South Alabama. Ability to lift up to 50 pounds without assistance.Comparable combination of education and experience may substitute for the above requirements.
