Job description

Purpose of Position:

To ensure the safe transport of guest vehicles while maintaining optimal levels of customer service. Monitor and maintain efficient traffic flow throughout the valet staging area.

Education/Experience:

  1. High school diploma or equivalent is required unless otherwise waived by Human Resources Management.
  2. Must have a current California Driver’s License on their person while at work.
  3. As a requirement of employment a clean driving record that is acceptable to Table Mountain Casino Resort’s insurer is mandatory.
  4. Excellent communication skills and a professional presentation.
  5. Strong interpersonal and problem solving abilities.
  6. Highly responsible and reliable.
  7. Previous hospitality (hotel, valet, casino or guest service) experience preferred.
  8. Ability to work well under pressure in a fast paced environment.
  9. Ability to work cohesively as part of a team.
  10. Ability to focus attention on guest needs, remaining calm and courteous at all times.

Job Responsibilities and Duties:

  1. Maintain a professional appearance and polite demeanor at all times.
  2. Consistently offer professional, friendly, and engaging service.
  3. Identify and anticipate guests’ needs to ensure personalized service.
  4. Secure and retrieve vehicles within and from the parking facility in keeping with the valet parking procedures.
  5. Maintain a clean and neat work environment including common rooms, storage closets, Porte Cochere, and main entrance.
  6. Comply with all posted speed limit regulations and vehicle operation safety rules.
  7. Maintain a consistent level of customer satisfaction through individual service initiatives.
  8. Answer questions or offer information to guests (for example, transportation and promotions).
  9. Operate all vehicle types in a congested environment.
  10. Ability to work a flexible schedule (available for morning, mid, evening, and night shifts, weekends/holidays as required).
  11. Follows applicable TMCR company policies and procedures including Hotel Operations policies & procedures.
  12. Perform other duties as assigned.

Additional Responsibilities:

Direct Reports: None.

Access to Sensitive Areas: Casino and Hotel Guest vehicles, hotel storage areas, email access and all sensitive areas when accompanied with authorization.

Signatory Authority: All related Valet forms.

Physical Requirements/Work Environment:

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk and hear. The employee is regularly required to stand, walk, sit, use hand to finger, handle or feel objects, tools or controls, and reach with hands and arms. The employee frequently lifts and/or moves up to 50 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, color vision, and the ability to adjust focus. While performing the duties of this position, the employee will be exposed to cigarette smoke. The work environment is noisy and the employee will work indoors and outdoors. Work performed in areas with temperatures in excess of 115° and as cold as 15° (exposed to all weather conditions).
