Job summary

Climate Pledge Arena in Seattle is seeking a Part-Time Valet Attendant to provide premier parking and guest service. You will assess vehicles on arrival, safely handle a variety of cars, and manage parking transactions with accuracy while delivering outstanding customer service.

You must be able to work weekends, nights, and holidays, and stand for at least 4 hours in varying weather conditions. Join a union-represented team committed to safety and service.

Qualifications

• Must have and maintain a valid driver's license.
• Must pass pre-employment background check, including MVR.
• Ability to drive luxury, manual, and electric vehicles.
• Knowledge of venue layout, parking areas, and exits.
• Excellent verbal communication and collaboration.
• Ability to stand for minimum 4 hours.
• Ability to bend/twist to reach items at ground level.
• Ability to work outside in heat, cold, wind, rain.
• High integrity and service mindset.

• Must assess every vehicle upon arrival, including documenting any surface damage and overall vehicle’s condition.
• Be adept at safely handling a range of vehicle types including luxury vehicles, manual transmission vehicles, and electric vehicles.
• Processes all parking transactions by taking accurate records of keys, tickets, tips received, and reporting discrepancies to management.

Required Experience & Qualifications:

• Required to have and maintain a valid state driver’s license
• Must be able to successful complete the company pre-employment background check, including Motor Vehicle Report.
• Ability to drive all types of vehicles including luxury vehicles, manual transmission vehicles, and electric vehicles.
• Maintain understanding of venue layout, particularly the parking areas and exits
• Excellent verbal communication skills and collaborator
• Ability to stand throughout the duration of a scheduled shift (minimum 4 hours)
• Ability to bend or twist at the waist to reach and move items at ground level (typically traffic cones or parking signs)
• Must be capable of working outside in a variety of environmental conditions (heat, cold, humidity, high wind, snow, or rain)
• A high degree of personal integrity and consistently put the interests of the organization first

Preferred Experience & Qualifications:

• Previous experience in parking and/or valet

Working Conditions:

• This role is represented by Teamsters 117 Union.
• Must be able to work a flexible schedule of weekends, nights and holidays required
• Frequent bending, lifting 15-20 pounds, sitting, exposure to multiple external elements, extensive walking through the building including inclines and stairs.

Compensation

In accordance with the Washington State Equal Pay and Opportunity Act, and with Climate Pledge Arena’s collective bargaining agreement with Teamsters 117, the expected rate for this position is $24.88/hr
