Job summary

Heritage Hotels & Resorts in Santa Fe is seeking a Valet Attendant to welcome guests, assist with vehicles, and provide courteous, efficient service at arrival and departure.

You will help guests with luggage during check-in and check-out, share recommendations on dining, amenities and local attractions, follow safety protocols, and coordinate with front desk and security to ensure a smooth, secure experience.

Qualifications

• Excellent verbal communication and customer service skills required.
• Ability to multitask and stay organized in a fast-paced guest-facing environment.
• Strong awareness of safety and attention to detail.
• Ability to work with multiple departments to support guest experience.
• Must be 19+ with NM driver's license or insurable driving record.
• Hospitality or guest service experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Welcome guests and assist with vehicle ingress and egress.
• Park and retrieve guest vehicles safely according to procedures.
• Assist guests with luggage during check-in and check-out.
• Provide recommendations on hotel outlets, amenities, events and local attractions.
• Follow ADA parking procedures and safety protocols.
• Coordinate with Front Office, Security and other departments as needed.
• Monitor guest flow to ensure efficient service.
• Maintain professional appearance per uniform standards.
• Keep driveway, porte-cochere and parking area clean and organized.
• Protect company assets and guest confidentiality.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

We are searching for a Valet Attendant that is crucial to the guest experience, serving as the first and last personal contact upon arrival and departure. This role is responsible for providing organized, service-oriented assistance to ensure a welcoming arrival. Key duties include offering vehicle assistance, helping with luggage during both check-in and check-out, and offering informative guidance on the hotel's amenities, outlets, and nearby attractions.

What You’ll Do

• Welcome guests warmly as they arrive at the property and provide assistance in and out of vehicles.
• Safely park and retrieve guest vehicles in accordance with company safety and security procedures.
• Assist guests with luggage during check-in and check-out, ensuring careful handling and professional service.
• Provide knowledgeable recommendations regarding hotel outlets, amenities, events and local attractions to enhance the guest experience.
• Maintain knowledge of ADA parking procedures and all safety and security protocols.
• Communicate and partner with Front Office, Security and other departments as needed to support guest needs.
• Maintain awareness of guest flow and arrival patterns to ensure efficient and organized service.
• Maintain professional appearance and conduct in accordance with uniform and grooming standards.
• Ensure the hotel's driveway, porte-cochere, and parking area are kept clean and tidy.
• Protect company assets and maintain confidentiality of proprietary, client and guest information.
• Other duties as assigned with the functions of this position as needed at the property.

Requirements

• Excellent verbal communication and customer service skills.

• Minimum age of 19 with preferably 2 years of driving experience required.
• Hospitality or guest service experience preferred.
• High school diploma or equivalent experience or training required.
• Current New Mexico driver’s license with an insurable driving record required.
