Job summary

VCU Health is seeking a Valet Attendant to provide personal vehicle parking and retrieval services for patients and visitors in a high-energy environment. You will deliver exceptional customer service and maintain professional appearance.

You will also clean and maintain parking areas and perform basic maintenance to keep facilities ready. Qualifications include reading/writing English, valid driver’s license, ability to drive automatic and manual, and multitask capability.

Qualifications

• Must be able to read and write in English.
• Must be able to drive both automatic and manual transmission vehicles.
• Must work independently within established guidelines and multitask.
• High school diploma or equivalent preferred; second language preferred.

• Provide personal vehicle parking and retrieval services with excellent customer service.

Job description

The Valet Attendant provides personal vehicle parking and retrieval services for the parking guests while offering exceptional customer service in a high energy environment.

The Valet Attendant maintains expected personal appearance standards.

The Valet Attendant performs all maintenance and cleaning tasks necessary to maintain the parking areas in patient/visitor-ready state.

Licensure, Certification, Or Registration Requirements For Hire

• Possess/maintain a valid, non-restricted driver's license with a neutral or positive driver point balance.

Licensure, Certification, Or Registration Requirements For Continued Employment

• Valid Virginia Driver's License and acceptable driver's record with positive points.

Experience REQUIRED

• Must be able to drive automatic and manual transmission vehicles.

Experience PREFERRED

• Previous professional driving experience
• Previous experience using a PC for inquiry and accurate data entry

Education/training REQUIRED

• Must possess reading and writing skills and comprehend and communicate in English

Education/training PREFERRED

• High School Diploma or equivalent Second language

• Required to work during inclement weather with day and evening rotations.

Compensation Range: $16.00 - $22.95

Actual salary offers will be based on several key factors to include relevant work experience, credentials, and qualifications.
