Job summary

Buffalo Thunder Incorporated is seeking a Valet Attendant to deliver friendly, attentive service to guests and safely park and retrieve vehicles at Buffalo Thunder Resort. You will manage keys, tickets, and guest inquiries while keeping arrival and departure areas running smoothly.

The role requires good customer service, clear communication, and the ability to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed. Prior valet or guest-service experience is preferred but not required.

POSITION SUMMARY

The Valet Attendant provides valet service for hotel and casino guests at Buffalo Thunder Resort. The position is responsible for greeting guests, safely parking and retrieving vehicles, keeping track of keys and valet tickets, and helping keep the arrival and departure areas running smoothly. Valet Attendants are expected to provide friendly service, use good judgment, and handle guest vehicles and property with care.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

Guest & Valet Service

• Greet hotel and casino guests and provide prompt, courteous valet service.
• Safely park and retrieve guest vehicles and keep traffic moving through the valet and entrance areas.
• Assist with vehicle doors, luggage, mobility items, directions, and other basic arrival or departure needs as appropriate.
• Provide basic resort information and direct guests to the appropriate department when additional assistance is needed.

Vehicle & Key Control

• Issue and track valet tickets and vehicle keys according to established procedures.
• Check vehicles for visible pre-existing damage or unusual conditions and report concerns before moving the vehicle when appropriate.
• Keep vehicles locked, keys secured, and guest vehicles parked only in designated areas.
Report accidents, vehicle damage, lost keys, safety concerns, or other problems to the supervisor immediately.

Daily Operations & Safety

• Operate guest vehicles carefully and follow property procedures, traffic laws, posted speed limits, and safe-driving practices.
• Keep valet lanes, podiums, key areas, and guest-facing work areas clean and organized.
• Follow the appropriate procedures for hotel valet charges and complimentary casino valet service.


• Work with Lobby Representatives, Front Office, Security, Casino, and Guest Services as needed to support guest arrivals and departures.


• Assist with opening, closing, vehicle counts, key reconciliation, and other shift duties as assigned.


• Perform other duties as assigned.


• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.


• Valid driver’s license with an acceptable driving record and ability to meet company insurability requirements.


• Ability to safely operate a variety of passenger vehicles. Ability to drive manual-transmission vehicles preferred.


• Previous valet, parking, hospitality, casino, or guest-service experience preferred but not required.


• Good customer-service and communication skills.


• Ability to keep accurate control of tickets and keys and handle guest property responsibly.


• Ability to work evenings, overnight hours, weekends, holidays, and special events as scheduled.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS/WORK ENVIRONMENT:

• Frequent standing, walking, brisk movement, bending, reaching, and entering and exiting vehicles throughout the shift.
• Ability to lift and carry luggage or guest items up to 50 lbs. with or without reasonable accommodation.
• Work is performed indoors and outdoors and may include heat, cold, wind, rain, snow, vehicle exhaust, and changing weather conditions.
• Requires sufficient vision, hearing, coordination, and mobility to operate vehicles safely and work around moving traffic.
