Job summary

Roadway Construction, LLC in Miami, FL, seeks an experienced Vactor/Vacuum Truck Operator to support underground utility and drainage work. You will operate high-pressure water and vacuum systems to clean storm and sanitary infrastructure, and ensure safe, efficient operation.

The ideal candidate is dependable, safety-minded, and able to work outdoors in varying weather, with a valid CDL and at least one year of vacuum truck experience.

Qualifications

• Valid CDL Class A or B license with a clean driving record.
• Minimum 1+ year of experience operating vacuum trucks or similar equipment.
• Strong commitment to safety and safe driving practices.
• Ability to work flexible hours, including nights and weekends as needed.
• Physically able to perform tasks outdoors in varying weather conditions.

Responsibilities

• Operate high pressure/vacuum equipment for cleaning sanitary sewer lines, drainage pipes and structures.
• Perform pre-trip and post-trip inspections and ensure equipment is safe to operate.
• Maintain accurate daily reports, logs, and work documentation.
• Follow all DOT, OSHA, and company safety regulations at all times.
• Safely position and operate equipment within active construction zones.
• Perform basic maintenance and minor troubleshooting of equipment.
• Assist with setup, hose handling, and job site support activities.
• Support field crews with general labor tasks during downtime.
• Work outdoors and adapt to changing weather and job site conditions.

Roadway Construction, LLC is an established civil and highway general contractor based in Miami, FL. We are seeking an experienced and safety-focused Vactor/Vacuum Truck Operator to support our underground utility and drainage operations.

This role requires hands-on experience operating high-pressure water and vacuum systems for cleaning and maintenance of storm and sanitary infrastructure. The ideal candidate is dependable, detail-oriented, and committed to safety and equipment care.

Job Responsibilities:

• Operate high pressure/vacuum equipment utilized in cleaning sanitary sewer lines, sewer laterals, drainage pipes and structures, culverts, outfalls, wet wells and/or associated sanitary or storm sewer systems.
• Perform pre-trip and post-trip inspections and ensure equipment is in safe working condition
• Maintain accurate daily reports, logs, and work documentation
• Follow all DOT, OSHA, and company safety regulations at all times
• Safely position and operate equipment within active construction zones
• Perform basic maintenance and upkeep of assigned equipment (cleaning, minor troubleshooting)
• Assist with setup, hose handling, and job site support activities
• Support field crews with general labor tasks during downtime
