Job description

Our Maintenance Team is looking for a VACTOR OPERATOR!
A Vactor operates a specialized truck equipped with a powerful vacuum system and water jets. Clean sewer lines, remove debris. The driver’s primary responsibility is to safely operate the truck and its equipment, ensuring proper maintenance and following safety protocols. Assist in set up and operation of pumps and hoses. Assist in cleaning up of debris.
Duties and Responsibilities:
· Operating the Truck:

This includes driving the truck, operating the vacuum pump, and controlling the water jets.

· Setting up and Maintaining Equipment:

This involves connecting hoses, setting up the equipment for specific tasks, and performing basic maintenance checks.

· Follow Safety Procedures:

Vactor truck drivers must adhere to safety regulations and procedures, including wearing appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE).

· Cleaning Sewer Lines:

Using the truck’s vacuum and water jets to clean and maintain sewer lines.

· Removing Debris:

Removing debris from various locations, including manholes and sewer plants

Skills and Requirements:

CDL (Commercial Driver’s License): A CDL is required
Experience: Experience operating vacuum trucks or similar equipment is preferred.
Mechanical Aptitude: Understanding of the truck’s mechanical systems is helpful.
Safety Knowledge: A good understanding of safety procedures and regulations is essential.
