Job summary

Vactor Mfg. Inc, a subsidiary of Federal Signal Corporation, is seeking a 3rd shift CNC Machinist in Streator, IL. You will operate CNC machining centers, develop and revise programs, and set up tools and fixtures.

Candidates must have at least 2 years of CNC experience, be able to read blueprints, and work with minimal supervision. The role requires lifting and standing, and overtime may be needed.

Qualifications

• Must have minimum of 2 years CNC machine operation experience and knowledge.
• Able to operate conventional machines, such as, but not limited to: engine lathe, Bridgeport, turret lathe, and radial drill press.
• Able to learn CNC programming software.
• Must be able to read blueprints.
• Must be able to work with minimal supervision.
• Ability to work in prolonged postures (bending, stooping, kneeling, walking, standing, and squatting) while performing all job tasks.
