Job summary

Fred Hutchinson Cancer Center in Seattle is seeking a Research Technician III to support vaccine development against pathogens of public health importance. The role involves immunizations in mouse models, evaluating vaccine responses with ELISA and flow cytometry, and in vivo imaging of transferred cells.

Collaboration with a Staff Scientist and post-doc is required. The candidate will perform data analysis, contribute to SOPs and reports, and assist in publishing results.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in related scientific field or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• 5 years of experience working in a lab outside of school coursework.

Responsibilities

• Maintain high accuracy for all work.
• Collaborate with laboratory staff and communicate effectively.
• Maintain cell cultures and produce viral stocks for neutralization experiments.
• Conduct immunogenicity studies in mice and analyze immune responses.
• Prepare reagents for experiments and general lab use.
• Maintain and QC laboratory equipment; assist in design of experiments.
