Job summary

MSD is seeking an Engineer Specialist to support production of live virus vaccines within bulk vaccine production and final formulation and filling operations at the West Point site. You will lead investigations into manufacturing deviations and develop corrective actions with cross-functional teams.

The role requires a B.S. in Engineering or Sciences, at least 1 year GMP manufacturing experience (or an M.S.

Qualifications

B.S. degree in Engineering or Sciences.
Minimum 1 year GMP manufacturing experience (or M.S. with <1 year).
Strong communication and problem-solving skills.

Responsibilities

Leads/manages manufacturing investigations, identifies root cause, and recommends corrective actions.
Examines issues from safety, compliance, automation, equipment, process, and people perspectives to resolve root cause.
Ensures consistent application of standardized work, engineering, and process tools.
Provides technical support to shop floor for problems and issues.
Designs experimental protocols using lab facilities or full-scale production equipment.
Authors and updates technical documents for investigations, process design, change control and validation.
