Job summary

MSD is seeking a motivated Co‑op for the Manufacturing & Supply Division in West Point, PA. The role supports vaccine production activities and requires adherence to GMP gowning restrictions.

You will collaborate on projects, investigate deviations, and drive continuous improvement using Lean Six Sigma tools. Candidates must be enrolled in an associate, bachelor’s, or master’s program in chemical, mechanical, biomedical, or related fields, with strong communication, leadership, and teamwork

Qualifications

• Must be pursuing an associate, bachelor’s, or master’s degree in a relevant engineering, chemistry, biology, biotechnology, microbiology, virology, or related field.
• Candidate should demonstrate communication, leadership and teamwork skills.

Responsibilities

• Provide on-the-floor support for operational and technical issues, collaborating with shop floor on projects critical to vaccine manufacturing at West Point, PA.
• Perform deviation investigations: root cause, corrective/preventive actions, scope, product impact; complete investigational protocols.
• Complete projects to improve process performance, yield, cost, or cycle times; support safety, environmental and compliance goals.
• Collaborate with area managers, operators/mechanics, and support groups (Maintenance, Automation, Technology, Quality, Supply Chain).
• Execute projects in a right-first-time manner; actively use Lean Six Sigma tools in problem solving and daily activities.
• Provide progress updates to mentor on assignments; work with mentor to develop skills.
