Job summary

MSD Malaysia is seeking an Executive Director to lead Vaccine Drug Product Development, shaping strategy from early development to commercialization. You will drive critical investments, launch-readiness decisions, and build capabilities across the organization.

The role requires deep vaccine/sterile product expertise, leadership experience, and a track record of delivering results in a regulated environment. Hybrid work arrangements and travel up to 25% are expected.

Qualifications

• PhD or equivalent advanced degree in Engineering, Pharmaceutical Sciences, Immunology, Biochemistry, Chemistry, or a related scientific discipline.
• 12+ years of experience in vaccine, biologics, or sterile drug product development.
• Proven success leading scientific and technical organizations and influencing portfolio and investment decisions.
• Strong understanding of vaccine development, sterile manufacturing, and commercialization within a regulated environment.

Responsibilities

• Define and execute the strategic vision, priorities, and operating model for Vaccine Drug Product.
• Lead vaccine drug product development from early strategy through commercial launch.
• Build and develop high-performing teams with inclusive leadership and succession planning.
• Establish trusted partnerships across Development, Manufacturing, Regulatory, Quality, and Commercial.
