Job summary

Boehringer Ingelheim is seeking a Team Leader, Active Ingredient in Athens, GA to oversee vaccine active ingredient manufacturing and coordinate with multiple groups. You will supervise activities for preparation of active ingredients and components, ensuring schedule adherence and quality documentation.

The role requires leadership of a manufacturing team, focus on continuous improvement, and alignment with EHS policies. Strong communication and documentation skills are essential.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent required; 2–3 years in related field preferred.
• Biology or related Science Degree plus 3–4 years in related field preferred.
• Experience with equipment/automation troubleshooting and data documentation.

Responsibilities

• Prepares the daily/weekly production schedule.
• Oversees and ensures training and qualification of team members.
• Reviews in process documentation for accuracy and compliance in a timely manner; maintains technical data and support documentation.
• Initiates and facilitates root cause analysis and implement corrective and preventative actions to address problems; escalates production flow disturbances.
• Demonstrates a visible and tangible commitment to EHS programs and initiatives.
• Assesses individual and team performance regarding continuous improvement.
• Participates and provides support to site projects and initiatives.
