Job summary

Saputo Cheese USA Inc. is seeking a vacation relief in the packaging department. The role requires the ability to cover multiple positions during vacations, operate packaging line equipment, and maintain a clean work area while adhering to safety and SOPs.

The position emphasizes strong communication, basic math and mechanical aptitude, with the potential for varied hours and day-to-day work assignments in a fast-paced dairy packaging environment.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED or 1–3 months related experience and/or training; or equivalent education/experience.
• Good communication, math and statistical skills are required.
• Good mechanical skills and aptitude.
• Computer skills are helpful.

Responsibilities

• Work in a safe manner.
• Follow and understand all the Standard Operating Procedures.
• Must be able to run all equipment efficiently.
• Cover for all positions in the packaging departments in the absence of employees on vacation.
• When not covering vacations, this position will be assigned to the packaging line.
• Maintain a clean, orderly, and neat work area.
• Respect the physical demands of the job listed in the Physical Demands section; all other assigned duties.

JOB DESCRIPTION

The vacation relief person must know and understand every job in the packaging department. Their hours may vary from day to day and their days off may vary from week to week. Always adheres to all USDA, GMP, and safety regulations.

What You’ll Do at Saputo

• Work in a safe manner
• Follow and understand all the “Standard Operating Procedures”
• Must be able to run all equipment efficiently
• Will cover for all positions in the packaging departments in the absence of employees that are on vacation
• When not covering vacations, this position will be assigned to the packaging line

Pay Range: $31.60-$37.23
